Lion

The lion was done over and over again by the Dentzels. The first one was by Michael in Germany. Every subsequent generation of Dentzel carvers has produced a Lion. The lions of the early 1900's were the largest and most elaborate, featuring the carving of Salvatore Cherni. The smallest lion is on William H. Dentzel III's carousel no. 8, it is a flyer.
